Here at Restricted Liquid we sell a range of great quality dry herb vaporisers, which differ slightly from the usual vape device.
How does a dry herb vaporiser work? The set up is much like that of a vape device; using a loading chamber, heating element and power button to make the device work. What differs though, is the way that the ingredients are heated. We do not have water being evaporated, and are instead focusing on dry herbs. This makes it a little more difficult to heat them up as well, due to the fact that we are not heating water but instead burning actual solid matter, creating a major difference to e cigarettes.
There are two main methods of heating in a dry herb vaporiser. That is conduction and convection. Conduction occurs by exposing the solid matter to a hot surface within the loading chamber. As the heat plate heats up, so does the ingredients within your chamber.
Convection is another method of heating up your dry herb. This works by passing hot air through the chamber which heats up the dry herb. This a little less temperamental than conduction, which can lead to the device itself overheating, and brings out an overall more even flavour. Whichever method suits you, there’s always a device to suit your needs at Restricted Liquid.
