HOW TO STORE YOUR VAPE DEVICE AND LIQUID

Vape devices are usually rather sturdy, but that doesn’t mean you should handle them without care.

Whilst we’ve been full trained in the correct ways to build and refill our vaporisers, we don’t often talk about the right ways to keep them safely stored. With the huge selection of vaping tool kits and UK vape accessories available at Restricted Liquids, there is no excuse to leave your liquids leaking and your devices damaged. Below are some easy steps to keeping your vape device in good condition, maintaining its durability and effectiveness so it can live to vape another day.

Keep your liquids away from humid conditions

Humid conditions can have a really detrimental effect on your vape juice. If the area you’re storing your juice in is prone to humidity, you could see your juices build up in condensation. Whilst vape juices are usually stored in sturdy bottles, these can go bad if left in humid conditions for too long.

The same goes for your vape device. Whether an RTA or a Pax 3 vaporiser, humid conditions can affect the inner workings of your vape device, affecting the wicking cotton, battery and atomiser.

Devices are hurt by dust and dirt

Whilst vape devices are built to be durable, wear and tear can be exacerbated by dirt and grit. The inner workings of a vape device can become clogged if exposed to dust and dirt. These particles can damage the intricate and sometimes fragile inner workings of your device, especially the atomiser and coil, which need to be free from external elements in order to work properly. A good way to ensure that your device remains dirt free is to not keep it in your pocket for longer periods of time. Pockets, rucksacks and handbags are notorious for their dirt accumulation, meaning that your best bet to protect your vape device is to invest in a vape case or strapped bag, many of which can be found at Restricted Liquid.

Vape battery care

Vape batteries are the same as any other battery. If you don’t use them properly, then they can burst, break or leak. Ionised lithium and other acids can leak from a battery and can damage both your device and cause harm to yourself. Vape batteries have also been known to explode if exposed to higher electricity currents than they were designed for.

Storing vape juices

Vape juices can be kept in freezing conditions to ensure their longevity. If you have bought vape juices in bulk and want them to keep for longer periods of time, then it’s a good idea to store them in a bottle which won’t expand and contract. Glass can crack due to temperature changes, so try recycled plastic or other flexible containers to ensure the changing temperatures to your vape juices won’t end up with a sticky puddle on the floor of your fridge or freezer.

Store in a cool, dry place

Like withmany foodstuffs, vape devices and liquids should be kept somewhere cool and dry, which encompasses almost all of the above points. Also endeavour to keep your vape juice out of the reach of children and animals.
