How To Up Your Vape Cloud Game

Cloud chasing is a new phenomenon in vaping culture. Here’s how to up your game.

Thinking of getting deep into the vaping subculture? Cloud chasing is a great place to start. All over the world, vapers are meeting up and showing off their vape skills, using the best new technology and blowing billows and billows of vape clouds, creating shapes and tricks which could bring the best of vaping to your doorstep. To reach the top and get those sweet vape shop sponsorships, you’ll have to make sure your device is primed and ready to vape big. So what can you do to get bigger vape clouds?

Up the VG of your vape juice

VG ratios are important for vaping large clouds. VG refers to the vegetable glycerin in your vape juice. Vegetable Glycerin is one of the two organic compounds, alongside propylene glycol in which the nicotine and flavour solution in vape juice is carried. Whilst a higher PG ratio in your juice will intensify the flavour., the VG ratio determines how thick your vape clouds will be. So, if you want to get involved with cloud chasing, try and find a vape juice which reaches a 90 VG 10 PG ratio.

Increase your vapes airflow

The mouthpiece of a vape device is the part through which you inhale the vape juice. On many modern vape devices, this can be replaced for a variety of different materials and can also be adjusted to increase or decrease your airflow. For tighter, warmer hits, a smaller airflow will suffice, whilst for cooler, bigger plumes of vape, you’ll want to increase your airflow so that more vapor is taken in on your inhale, leading to bigger vape clouds on the exhale.

Go sub ohm

Sub ohm vaping refers to vaping with a resistance of less than 0.1 ohms. Most normal vape devices will not let you do this, but going for a mechanical mod will mean you are vaping with an unregulated device. The lower the resistance on your device, the more vapor you will exhale on your outbreath. To increase your vapour production, up your wattage whilst lowering your resistance, adhering to the basic principles of ohm’s law.

 By changing your coils

A thicker coil will allow more electricity to pass from your battery to your atomiser head. This means that more power will surge through your device and therefore lead to more heat and more vapour production. You can also find double coils and materials to make your coils from which will lower the resistance and will increase speed of heat and electricity transfer. The best materials with which to buy or build your own coils are nickel, kanthal, and titanium. Whilst there are other capable coil materials out there, finding the most sturdy yet reactive will be your best bet for lower resistances and better vape clouds.

 Upgrade your kit

Vape devices have changed over the years. With the most recent being the most adaptable and powerful, it may be a good idea, if you want to get into cloud chasing, to find the most recent devices at your local vape shop with the best power output and lowest resistance. Whether you decide to go unregulated, or with a durable vape pen is up to you and how confident you feel with your vaping, but there are plenty of advanced models out there for great value prices.
