Safety And Your Mech Mod

Mech mods are all the rage these days. Here are some tips on keeping safe whilst using them.

If you’re new to vaping you may not have heard of a mechanical mod before. These new and improved vape devices are reserved for those vaping veterans out there and require a certain amount of technical know how to get to grips with. These devices are known for their flexibility and the fact that you can add your own circuits to them. That being said, you need to make sure you’re up to date with the safety procedures and needs that come with them.

What is a mechanical mod?

A mechanical mod is a vape device which is unregulated. This means that there is no inner circuitry to keep the voltage and power steady, meaning you have to have some technical prowess to control it. The mechanical mod runs directly off the vape battery and runs straight to this from the vape tank.  It means you have a circuit which is simple to use and is dependable, whilst also giving you control over the power at which you vape, due to the lack of advanced electronics inside.

Why should you go for a mechanical mod

So who should use a mechanical mod? They may not be suited to everyone after all, especially if you’re new to the vaping game and want a device which gives you that raw power, then this may be the best bet for you.

 Sub ohm vaping

Due to the lack of a circuit, the mechanical mod will allow you to vape with as little resistance as possible. This means that there is no end to how powerful your vape device can be leading to a huge vape cloud, perfect for the cloud chasers among us.

 Durability and simplicity

The mechanical mod is known for not having a lot of circuitry and so is simple and powerful to use. This means that it will last a long time and will lead to less replacing of the various elements inside. It also gives you the freedom to build your own atomisers, letting you vape how you want.

Safety and your mod

Whilst vaping with a mechanical mod can be a lot of fun, you need to be wary of the potential dangers. Over firing your mech mod, famous for having a bottom firing button attached directly to the battery, can lead to your system overloading and your batter potential bursting, which no one wants. Toa void dangers such as these, there are a few rules to follow.

First off, make sure, there’s a lock for your firing button, meaning that the vape device can’t power on whilst in your pocket.

Make sure the air holes and vents in your device aren’t blocked. To do this, take out the battery from your vape device and then blow through the air holes and vents on your vape device, ensuring they are completely clear. These are vital for the mechanical mod, in case the battery bursts inside the device, these holes will let any noxious chemicals escape as opposed to being inhaled straight into your lungs.

Next up, is taking good care of your batteries. If your vape device has healthy batteries, then you’ll have a healthy device. Make sure the batteries aren’t over or under charged. If they’re undercharged and regularly used, the battery life will decrease, whilst over charging could lead to it bursting.
