TIPS FOR VAPERS GOING DRY HERB

Dry herb vaping is becoming ever more popular. With CBD vape oils now being sold at London e cigarette shops and beyond, there’s been more of a demand for dry herb vape device than ever before. With the technology improving and vape oil devices becoming just as popular as your standard e cig, there will be many people curious about getting into this fast-growing trend. Vape oils and dry herbs require slightly different specifications for that perfect hit, and below you can find some of the most important things to keep in mind if you dig going dry.

Get the right mix

Dry herbs are never completely dry. Most would technically be oil based vape mixes, and the ones that aren’t need a good amount of moisture inside their leaves to ensure a satisfying vape hit. In the cases of using solid herbs in your vaporiser, make sure the leaves have retained some moisture, but not enough to make your fingers wet when you handle them. Much like with vape juices and their PG VG ratio, vape oils are all about that perfect balance.

Find the right temperature

Like with vaping normal e liquids, dry herb vape oil temperatures will come down to personal preferences. Higher temperatures will lead to powerful effects and nicotine hits, but harsher throat hits which may throw you if you’re new to vaping. For better flavour, it’s always wise to stick to cooler temperatures. Cooler vaping will also minimise the risk of spit back. Spit back is when the vape juice cooks on the coil, or doesn’t vaporise properly, sending hot vape juice spitting out of the device, promising a nasty surprise for the vaper.

Invest in a grinder

Grinders are useful for an even vaping experience. Unevenly spaced dry herb in your tank can mean that, on the inhale, your vape juice has bursts of flavour followed by periods of weaker taste. Grinders will help bring all the dry herb to the same size.

There are a few things to keep in mind when grinding up your herbs. Don’t grind up too much of it at once. Overstepping the required amount will mean that you will be left with extra herb in your grinder. When exposed to the elements outside of its container, these herbs will quickly dry up, leading to a more unpleasant vaping experience when it comes to refilling your device.

Don’t pack too loose

Unlike vape liquid which is viscous, the solid matter of dry herb is easy to miscalculate when filling the tank. Make sure that when you pack your tank out, that the device is not too tight but not too loose. Finding that balance may take time, but when you get it, you’ll be rewarded with a satisfying vape hit.

Go MTL not DTL

Vaping dry herb requires smaller inhales than with cloud chasing e liquids. It’s more about the flavour than the vapour here, so make sure you “sip” on your dry herb vape instead of greedily guzzling.
